The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Tuesday warned the public against fake Philippine peso bills after 500 pieces of counterfeit peso notes worth P480,000 were confiscated in BSP’s anti-counterfeiting operations.

“Kaya pinapaalalahanan ng BSP ang publiko na maging mapanuri sa natatanggap na salaping papel. Gawin ang FEEL (Salatin), LOOK (Tingnan), at TILT (Itagilid) method at alamin ang mga palatandaan kung authentic ang pera na hawak,” the BSP said.
