The Department of Earth and Space Sciences unveils the “A-STORY-ME” which aims to feature amazing success stories of BS Astronomy graduates of Rizal Technological University. The goal of A-Story-Me is to showcase the accomplishments and milestones of our graduates in their professional career.

John Christian B. Lequiron, also known as “Jong”, is the first Bachelor of Science in Astronomy Technology graduate to attain the Cum Laude Latin honor. After graduating, Jong took up Master of Science in Meteorology at University of the Philippines, Diliman.

Over the past 8 years, Jong’s expertise and experience
in the fields of Astronomy, Meteorology, and Data Science allowed him to stand out and excel in his professional career, may it be in a local or international setting.

Jong’s work experience includes cloud-based data quality and data management, provide timely, accurate, and reliable weather forecast. He also worked on risk analysis and introduced innovations and automation to further improve system productivity and minimize cost.

Jong previously worked as the Country Director of Kuminidad Ph. Today, he is the CEO of EmPyreTech, a company that aims to solve
problems through innovation, science, and technology.
