To be on the beach in just 1.5 hours from the city center on a weekday feels like a dream. Shek O Beach, a public and completely free beach, offers a refreshing escape where golden sand, blue waters, and a laidback atmosphere await.

Despite its being FREE, it is impressively well-maintained with lifeguards on duty, making it safe for swimming. Visitors will find decent free public toilets and shower areas, adding to the convenience. After a dip in the sea, you can easily grab a bite or a drink from the nearby restaurants and bars, giving this public beach the charm and comfort of a well-rounded seaside getaway.
