Epiphany

On one of our bestfriend catch-up sessions, we touched on the topic about choosing the battle worth fighting for. You know, bilang mga tao, nasanay kami to fully involve ourselves – as in 100% - sa mga concern ng mga taong malalapit sa amin. At madalas, we get at our wits’ end because we just can’t find solutions to their problems esp ‘yung mga paulit-ulit. Haha. Ayun, nakaka-exhaust, nakaka-anxious.

And we thank God, that during this adulting season, we are slowly learning to let go of the issues of other people na out of our control and that steal our peace. Hindi naman ibig sabihin na we are turning away our back from them kapag nasa mahirap silang sitwasyon. It’s just that we want to reserve more than half of ourselves and energy para naman sa mga paparating na personal matters na haharapin namin and to keep ourselves together. Madalas kasi, we are losing ourselves and our sanity because we’re too focused on battles na hindi naman para sa amin and are really out of our capacity to handle. But rest assure that we’re still here, willing to pray, to listen, to give counsel (if necessary) and to tap their back during tough times.

As a parting thought, let God deal 100% with all the battles around us, even with our personal fight and struggles 🌺
