We're stoked to share that two ARK campaigns took home awards at the Kidlat Creative Festival 2026!
🥉 Sagana - Bronze, !MPACT Award for Most Creative Sustainability Communication
🥉 Patterns of Abundance - Bronze, CRAFTSMANH!P Award for Outstanding Art Direction
The Kidlat Creative Awards is the Philippines’ longest-running advertising and creative competition organized by the Creative Guild of the Philippines. It recognizes the country's best creative work thorugh outstanding brand storytelling and innovative campaigns.
None of this would be possible without Black Pencil of Leo Manila, who conceptualized and brought both ideas to life. Our special thanks goes to Kat Gomez-Limchoc, a beloved ARK Board Member and Executive Creative Director of Black Pencil Manila. Thank you for telling our story!
This recognition belongs to the communities who prove that solving for food security is possible anywhere.

Bayanihan runs deep in Philippine culture. It means community members coming together to help each other, and is derived from the word "bayani," meaning "hero."
Traditionally, it's represented by the image of neighbors physically carrying a fellow neighbor's bahay kubo on their shoulders, moving it to a new location. Today, for us, it looks like a Feed Back exchange day: Champions making the program possible, neighbors sharing their excess produce, and the whole community benefiting together.
To our Champions and communities, maligayang Araw ng mga Bayani! 🇵ðŸ‡

Today, August 30, is a milestone day for ARK! On this day 16 years ago, we were officially recognized as a foundation in the US, though the real work started a year earlier, in 2009.
A lot has changed since then, but the spirit remains the same: we dream big, and we work hard alongside communities who want to dream with us.
Swipe through and take a trip down memory lane with Ma’am Beng, ARK’s very first hire. Do you have favorite memories with us? We'd love to reminisce with you. Send us a message and share them with us!

Maraming salamat, Hands On Manila, for 25 years of nation-building, mobilizing volunteers, and choosing to solve hunger with us!

It’s been pouring and flooding the past three weeks, and the days have been long and tough for our partner communities in Rizal. Last week, chest-deep floodwaters were reported in parts of the province of Rizal, following continuous rains brought by the back-to-back southwest monsoons (habagat).
At recent interviews, Feed Back participants shared about how their flourishing backyards and the exchanges have become a source of peace and joy in the midst of stressful situations. We continue to carry out the Feed Back program as our communities inch towards their graduation next month!

Our ARK Champion and super storyteller Erwan Heussaff and his team at FEATR have just released a documentary that we believe is a must-watch.
They do the important work of shedding light on the realities that Filipino farmers face every day: the wide gap between what their produce is worth and what they actually get paid, the growing toll of climate change on harvests, and a quickly aging farming population.
The documentary offers a glimpse into how pressing the issue of food security truly is, but it also offers hope in solutions in forms both practical and creative. (We like to believe that Feed Back is both 😉)
We promise it’s a worthwhile watch! Thanks for everything you do Erwan Heussaff featr

Despite heavy rains, Feed Back communities in Rizal showed up and brought their own sunshine for another week of exchange.
This three-day event also marked the launch of our newest partner, Wheeltek! They are the largest motorcycle dealer in the country, and now a Champion behind Feed Back in Rizal.
