The signs that a wounded boy is in control 👇🏼 1. He shuts down completely during difficult conversations because his inner child feels overwhelmed and doesn’t know how to express emotions safely. 2. He takes feedback personally and becomes defensive instantly, because his inner child experienced criticism as rejection or abandonment. 3. His emotional reactions are disproportionate to the situation – a small trigger unleashes a storm of anger or hurt that feels unpredictable to his partner. 4. He makes his partner responsible for his emotional state, bringing all his pain to her as if she were his mother, while offering little or no emotional support in return. 5. He avoids conflict at all costs, letting issues build until they explode, because his inner child learned that conflict means danger. 6. He dismisses his partner’s emotions with phrases like “you’re overreacting” or “just get over it,” because his inner child was never taught how to hold space for difficult feelings. 7. He feels constantly inadequate and seeks validation, or hides parts of himself due to deep shame, making his partner feel like she can never truly know or trust him. Which ones resonate with you?
