The University Student Council Manila, through a collective effort with the Community Outreach Movement Pro-Active Student Services (COMPASS), Red Cross Youth (RCY), administrative councils, school deans, CEU personnel, and concerned members of the community, continues to provide assistance to students, teaching personnel, and non-teaching personnel affected by the ongoing flooding.

Through these collaborative efforts, essential provisions, including food, blankets, and first-aid assistance, are being made available to those in need. At present, the LAH Seminar Room is being utilized as a temporary evacuation area for those who are unable to safely leave the university due to the prevailing conditions.

The University Student Council, our fellow Escolarian leaders, and the CEU community remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting one another throughout this ongoing situation.

If you’re currently stranded due to the heavy rains & flooding and already far away from school, some malls around Metro Manila are opening their doors as temporary shelters. 🫂

Several establishments are also offering free overnight parking, Wi-Fi, and charging stations for those who need a safe place to stay while waiting for the weather and flood situation to improve.

Please don’t risk traveling through flooded roads just to get home. Your safety comes first. If you’re unable to travel safely, consider staying somewhere secure and informing your family or loved ones of your location.

The University Student Council–Manila has formally petitioned for the suspension of onsite and online classes on August 18, 2026, in light of the severe flooding, continuous heavy rainfall, and prevailing red rainfall warning affecting our communities.

As the Escolarian community faces challenging conditions, we believe that safety must come first. Suspending classes will give affected students, faculty, and staff the time they need to ensure their safety, attend to their families and homes, and recover from the effects of the flooding.

The USC remains committed to standing with every Escolarian and advocating for their safety, welfare, and well-being.

Through this accreditation, CEU 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼-𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦) is now officially accredited, joining a global community of youth organizations driving sustainable change.

Established in 2025, the Global Youth Program is a five-year initiative that supports the achievement of the SDGs. Co-implemented by 𝗨𝗡 𝗦𝗗𝗦𝗡 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 (𝗬𝗦𝗡), and the 𝗨𝗡 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, the program empowers young leaders to drive collective action toward the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

This milestone marks another step for CEU 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼-𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦) in expanding partnerships, amplifying youth-driven action, and championing sustainability for present and future generations. 💚
