The display is pretty wild! To show the years of Honda, they placed historic models beside their modern counterparts. We have the new and the old HRVs and CRVs beside each other.

But the goosebump enducing sight is that Honda Cars Philippines finaly announced the new Prelude is comming to the Philippines, right beside a prestine 1st generation Prelude.

And of course, we can't forget the probably most important car in Philippine automotive history, a literal legend, the household name, a car that beat everything else out of the water in its time, the literal embodiment of The Power of Dreams locally, the Civic SiR. And it's not just a regular SiR. It's the very 1st, chassis number 00001 SiR! Beside it is Top Gear Philippines' car of the year, the current Honda Civic RS e:HEV. 2 cars, different genration, same nameplate, always redefining How We Move You.

We're approaching the time where having a sim rig to compliment your real racing is becoming a requirement. Soon enough, a lot of real drivers that don't have sim time will slowly be at a disadvantage to those who do.

We're almost finished putting together the sim rig! Majority of the fitting and installing are done. Now we just need to fine tune and paint the frame. Just like a real project car, we'll start with the basics. We'll slowly updgrade the rig some more as needed!

Good race weekend with ! The E46 R&D has gone a long way. So many learnings!

We actually raised the ride height and altered the rake this round to better suit Clark's corners with our open diff. It Worked really well! It does require a different driving style, so I'm curious to see how it does on BRC.

Also had to lower rev cut to 6krpm since our super charger belt kept snapping at 7krpm... But even so, with only 3psi of boost and 1k less revs, we were able to break the 2:20 barrier at 2:19!

There's still a lot we can do with the chassis so we'll only get faster from here!

Albeit the E36 is my daily.... Hindi talaga ako umaalis ng bahay so the fuel in the tanks lasts for quite a while haha! Though I noticed when I let the car sit for a while, it'll eventually run lean. I specifically noticed this when I tried to get cheaper fuel to try and save money. The phenomenon happens to both the E36 and E46. Then after getting fresh gas, the AFR would stabilize... So I'll be experiment on running Blaze again (pota ang mahal 😭). Pero Blaze does burn slower, and from experience, takes longer to go stale. So in the end the costs should even out on engines that can benefit from it. (Tuner friends please chime in I don't know what I'm doing help!)

Also? What's with the jerry can? Uy... BAKSTAYP!!! Tried startong the thing. AN fitting crapped out 😂😂😂. Taena I hate AN fittings on non race cars. Can't just go to the regular autosupply to get the car running 🫠.

But yeah... Im telling you 2026 will be wild. Mag seserious gaming na tayo 😈. Hard push with the BMW agenda!

If you have a good running 90s car, consider yourself blessed. Nothing drives like these!

Back then, companies like Honda were shoving F1 tech double wishbones and performace oriented variable valve lift into normal everyday cars.

BMW was making, proper, raw, naturally aspirated, 6 cylinder rear wheel drive machines.

A gripe I have with most modern cars is that electronics have mudded driving dynamics. I get it, it's all for safety. So it is a step forward. But you do feel it in the way the chassis and suspension were designed and setup. Cars these days are designed to handle with the electronic nannies in mind. They made it so that when the saftey and artificial controls kick in, the chassis balance won't be upset. Heck, some cars even handle better with stability control on than off! They've been baked in the handling!

A lot of cars today also have a very narrow range of usable suspension geometry. With better engineering, they can cut costs by making suspension components work a certain range only. This makes tuning them a bit more difficult.

The 90s vehicles pictured above can be lowered a fair amount and you can get away with it without altering suspension geometry! The safety part was designing proper suspension and the assumption that the driver can drive properly! Give the driver the control!

I mean I understand. If I want to go fast and win races, I'd get a newer car. You can't beat modern ABS and traction control. They're easier and safer to drive. The chassis are also stiffer in relation to their weight.

But if I want to drive, nothing beats the 90s!
