Through the collaboration of the Commission on Human Rights and the National Youth Commission, the Youth Suffrage Education Caravan (Educators and Youth Rights Forum) was successfully conducted to strengthen youth awareness on suffrage, human rights, and active civic participation in preparation for the 2026 Barangay and SK Elections and the 2028 National Elections.
Held earlier today at Far Eastern University โ Pampanga, the forum gathered SK officials, Local Youth Development Officers, Local Youth Development Council members, youth leaders, and youth-serving organizations from different localities.
Representing Mabalacat City were the City Youth Development Office led by Ms. Lacel Baluyut and staff, together with members of the MCYDC, and delegates from various youth and youth-serving organizations across the city, including the IHTM Student Council attended by Vice Governor, Tristan Mary G. Quizon, and BM in Audit, Shane G. Gamboa.
The activity featured four insightful sessions:
โข Session 1: Human Rights 101
โข Session 2: Qualities of an Effective Youth Leader in Human Rights Lens
โข Session 3: Youth Participation and Leadership
โข Session 4: Understanding the Electoral Process
Through initiatives like this, the youth continue to be empowered as active partners in promoting human rights, responsible leadership, and meaningful participation in nation-building.
As emphasized during the forum, your voice matters, your choice matters, and your participation matters.

These initiatives were successfully implemented through the Financial Assistance Program under the Mabalacat City Youth Development Plan FY 2025, wherein 20 qualified organizations each received Php 15,000.00 to support their priority programs, projects, and activities.

Driven by a shared purpose, the City Youth Development Office, in partnership with JCI Mabalacat Malasa, successfully organized a leadership training for youth leaders entitled โYouthSync: Aligning Leaders for Impactโ earlier today.
Held at The Glory Hotel and Residence, the activity brought together youth leaders from the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation, City Youth Development Council, registered youth and youth-serving organizations, PYAP Mabalacat Federation, and student leaders from various schools across the city including the IHTM Student Council attended by Vice Governor, Tristan Mary G. Quizon.
The program opened with welcome remarks from CYDO-OIC Ms. Lacel Baluyut, followed by an inspiring message from JCI Mabalacat Malasa President Mr. Rustine Jay Garcia.
The event was also graced by City Councilor Hon. Patricia Anne Acorda, who delivered a heartfelt message emphasizing the vital role of the youth in community development and governance.
Participants gained valuable insights from expert resource speakers through the following sessions:
โข Topic 1: Leading with Integrity: Leadership Etiquette & Ethical Public Service โ presented by Atty. Lian E. Rimando, National Secretary General, JCI Philippines
โข Topic 2: From Vision to Impact: Strategic Project Management for Youth Leaders โ delivered by Mr. Phillip Justin Samonte, RSDD, Central Luzon Region, JCI Philippines
โข Topic 3: Structured Leadership: Mastering Parliamentary Procedure and Building Your Organizationโs Brand and Identity โ shared by Ms. Lani Juanne Mae Puri, Secretary, JCI Tarlac City.
Through this activity, participants were equipped with essential leadership skills, strengthened their sense of collaboration, and were empowered to take on more active roles in youth-centered governance.

Future tourism professionals from different schools across Central Luzon came together last May 08, 2026 at the SMX Convention Center for the 9th Tourism Collegiate Conference of Central Luzon. The event is entitled โVitality 2026: Redefining Wellness and Medical Tourism Through New Perspectives." The event was given purpose by the guest speakers namely; Dr. Paulo Benito S. Tugbang, Mr. Ryan Kenneth Trullench, Rev. Marjorie Tolentino-Guese, Ms. Frances Valdez Flor, Dr. Samantha Pamintuan, and Dr. Richard Daenos. Their shared experiences and expertise in their own fields gave motivations, and knowledge to both students and professors from various universities and colleges.
Moreover, Mabalacat City College were delegates from the BSTM are Keeshia Aipha G. Laguisma, Sean Kyle J. Lliwanag, Raymond L. Malig, Charmaine G. Lalu, and Nancy P. Mabagos.
Organized by the 3rd year tourism students of Jocson College Inc., the event was filled with inspiring talks, new perspectives, and unforgettable moments shared by students who are passionate about the future of wellness and medical tourism. ๐ฑ

RECAP: DAY 5 โ MCC Days
Day 5 of MCC Days marked a meaningful and memorable conclusion to the week-long celebration. The final day was highlighted by the awarding ceremony, recognizing the hard work, dedication, and achievements of all participants who contributed to the success of the various competitions and activities throughout the event.
One of the most anticipated highlights of the evening was the coronation of Mr., Ms., and Mx. MCC 2025โ2026. The four candidates from the Institute for Hospitality and Tourism Management (IHTM)โMs. Mariedel Rivera, Miracle Bea Perez, Glen Alen Basilio, and John Gabriel Garciaโconfidently showcased their elegance, intelligence, confidence, and poise on stage, proudly representing the institute.
IHTM secured several recognitions during the event. Mariedel Rivera was awarded Ms. Congeniality and Best in Advocacy, while Miracle Bea Perez received the Ms. Mainstay Award and the Organizerโs Choice Award. Most notably, Mariedel Rivera was crowned Ms. MCC 2025โ2026, bringing honor and pride to the institute and highlighting the excellence and determination of its representatives.
Overall, Day 5 served as a fitting conclusion to MCC Days, celebrating achievements, unity, and the vibrant spirit of the student body while recognizing the dedication and contributions of every participant who made the event truly memorable.

Day 4 of MCC Days was marked by excitement, enthusiasm, and remarkable displays of talent. The day featured several highly anticipated events that highlighted studentsโ skills, teamwork, and school spirit, making it one of the most memorable moments of the celebration.
One of the major highlights of the day was the championship rounds of the e-sports competitions, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) and Call of Duty Mobile (CODM). Notably, the Institute for Hospitality and Tourism Management (IHTM) proudly secured the Championship Title in the MLBB Tournament and achieved 1st Place in the Call of Duty Mobile (CODM) competition, reflecting the playersโ dedication, discipline, and outstanding teamwork.
IHTM set the tone for excellence during the first-ever Bench Yell Competition, commanding the spotlight with electrifying energy, precision, and pride. With every synchronized movement and resounding chant, the institute showcased not only creativity and coordination, but also an unbreakable spirit that echoed across the crowd.
