𝐀𝐋𝐏𝐀𝐒 — a word that carries the quiet courage of becoming; to break free, to loosen the grip of fear, and to release the weight of what once held you back. Perhaps that has always been our story.

We were once the students standing outside ward doors with racing hearts, asking ourselves, “Kaya ba natin?” We remember the shaky hands during return demonstrations, the endless duty hours, the breakdowns hidden behind tired smiles, and the moments we questioned, “Bakit nga ba ako nag-nursing?”

But somewhere between night shifts, patient encounters, and the countless times someone softly called us “Nurse,” we slowly became more than students.

We became people who learned how to care not only with skill, but with heart.

Four years ago, we entered our first RLE class completely terrified of return demonstrations, struggling to get a perfect blood pressure reading, and stressing over sterile technique. We traded sleep for concept maps, spent endless nights perfecting care plans, and survived the intimidating gazes of our Clinical Instructors during morning drills.

𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐃 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐧𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠—𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬. 🏥

We became a team that knew exactly when to step in during a toxic shift, how to share quick snacks in the pantry during a hectic 8-hour duty, and how to lift each other up when the emotional weight of patient care felt too heavy.

We shared the adrenaline of our first deliveries, the chaos of the emergency room, and the quiet pride of seeing our patients recover.

As we prepare to take off our student patches and step onto the frontlines as full-fledged professionals, remember the resilience we forged together. We came into this journey as strangers learning how to care, and we leave it as a family bound by the same relentless pulse.

2 𝒹𝒶𝓎𝓈 before May 29, and somehow… we made it.

Who could ever forget the ultimate adrenaline rush every time we had a retdem—especially everyone's absolute "favorite," catheterization? Add in the sudden surprise quizzes, our bloody Friday classes back in 3rd year, the exhausting case presentations, and hospital duties that were literally back-breaking. Through it all, we definitely owe our lives to Daily Joe, which we basically treated as water just to stay awake.

Through every struggle, God carried us through 4 years of nursing school. And now, we officially endorse ourselves to the real world. 🩺✨

Here’s to smooth shifts, high passing rates, and seeing each other again along the hospital corridors soon. 🤍
