𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗔𝗬

The 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 – 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 (𝗕𝗮𝗦𝗖–𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖𝗨) successfully conducted its 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙊𝙏𝘾 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙖𝙮 on 13 September 2026 at the Basilan State College Gymnasium.

The Sunday formation began at its usual time, 0730H (7:30 AM), with the organization of platoons followed by the checking of attendance. After ensuring that everyone was accounted for, a lecture session on 𝘿𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙨 was delivered by TSg Francisco L. Melo (Ret) PA, after which the cadets applied the actual ex*****on of the drills.

The session was conducted under the supervision of MSg Vincent R. Lacastesantos (Inf) PA, Chief Clerk of the BaSC–ROTCU, together with TSg Francisco L. Melo (Ret) PA and SSg Richard M. Tanudtanud (Inf) PA.

Overall, the activity today was successfully carried out. The combination of theoretical instruction and practical application strengthened the cadets’ knowledge and skills in drills and ceremonies, contributing to the continuous development of discipline, teamwork, and military proficiency among the BaSC–ROTC cadets.

𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗔𝗬

The 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 – 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘀 successfully conducted an orientation as part of its first 𝙍𝙊𝙏𝘾 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙖𝙮 for 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 1 for 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 2026-2027. The activity was held on 06 September 2026 at the BaSC Gymnasium.

The day began with the organization and arrangement of ROTC cadets into their designated platoons, which commenced at exactly 0730H (7:30 AM). This was followed by an orientation that covered the rules and regulations, as well as all the requirements that every cadet must comply with.

The event was supervised by MSg Vincent R. Lacastesantos (Inf) PA, Chief Clerk of the BaSC–ROTCU, together with the BaSC–ROTCU Tactical NCOs: TSg Francisco L. Melo (Ret) PA, SSg Richard M. Tanudtanud (Inf) PA, and Cpl Joevert S. De Pedro (Inf) PA.

The successful conduct of the orientation marked a strong start to the training year, laying a solid foundation of discipline, awareness, and commitment among the new cadets as they begin their journey in the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps.

Today, the Basilan State College – Reserve Officers’ Training Corps joins the nation in honoring the courage, love for country, and selfless sacrifices of Filipino men and women who fought for our freedom.

The official commencement of ROTC training will be on September 6.

For those who are willing to undergo the ROTC program, the enrollment for ROTC Military Science 1 for academic year 2026-2027 is still on going until September 5.
