𝑨𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒍 𝟮𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒏 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆

The Basilan State College (BASC) Alumni community marked a significant milestone with the official turnover of the 𝟐-𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝐋𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐡 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 at the BASC grounds in Barangay Sumagdang, Isabela City. Funded through a ₱𝟑.𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 allocation from the 2025 20% Development Fund, the project was implemented by the Provincial Government of Basilan under the leadership of 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐮𝐣𝐢𝐯 𝐒. 𝐇𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧, reaffirming its commitment to education and institutional development.

The turnover ceremony featured the symbolic 𝙠𝙚𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙗𝙤𝙣-𝙘𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜, with College President 𝐃𝐫. 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐩𝐚 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧 and Vice President for Academic Affairs 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐨 formally receiving the facility on behalf of the College. Present during the event were 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐀. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧, 𝐄𝐝𝐃, Alumni President and Board Member,1st District along with Provincial Department Heads.

“𝙏𝙤 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝘼𝙡𝙪𝙢𝙣𝙞, 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚. 𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙪𝙨 𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮,” Dr. Salain emphasized.

The 𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐂 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 expressed its appreciation to the Provincial Government for the completion of the project, noting that the new facility will serve as a dedicated space for alumni engagement, collaboration, and community-oriented initiatives.

As BASC moves forward, the facility is poised to become a center for alumni-driven initiatives that contribute to sustainable development and public service.

The Basilan State College Alumni Association convened its regular meeting on August 4,2025 to deliberate on ongoing programs, strategic initiatives, and upcoming projects that aim to deepen alumni engagement and contribute to the College’s continued development.

Following the meeting, the members proceeded with a site visit to the New Alumni Building, which is currently under construction. This infrastructure project stands as a significant milestone in the Association’s commitment to strengthening institutional ties and alumni relations.

Once completed, the New Two-Storey Alumni Building shall serve as the official hub for all alumni-related activities, providing a dedicated space for networking, resource mobilization, collaborative projects, and support services for graduates.

This initiative reflects the collective vision of the alumni to build a legacy that empowers future generations and reinforces the shared values of excellence, service, and community.

The BaSC Alumni Association extends heartfelt congratulations to our beloved alma mater for achieving a “100% Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC)” for all undergraduate programs!

This milestone highlights BaSC’s unwavering commitment to **academic excellence** and **quality education**, showcasing its compliance with the high standards set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). With this certification, BaSC graduates are well-prepared to take licensure exams administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), meeting the professional qualifications necessary for their careers.

Moreover, the COPC certification plays a crucial role in the allocation of government funding as per Republic Act No. 10931, the “Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act,” which supports accessible, high-quality education for all.

BaSC's drive for excellence is further demonstrated by achieving Level III Phase II accreditation, the highest level so far, reflecting continuous efforts to elevate educational practices and outcomes.

By maintaining these high standards, Basilan State College ensures that its programs remain relevant to industry needs, empowering graduates to innovate and significantly contribute to societal development.

𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍 | We are pleased to inform everyone that the enrollment period for the First Semester of Academic Year 2024-2025 has been extended until August 24, 2024. This extension aims to accommodate all incoming and continuing students who have not yet completed their enrollment process.

Please be reminded that the start of classes will proceed as scheduled on August 19, 2024. We encourage all students to finalize their enrollment within this extended timeframe.

𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒓𝒂 for their steadfast dedication to advancing educational opportunities for Filipino youth through the allocation of ₱𝟐.𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 under the 𝗧𝘂𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝘂𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘀 (𝗧𝗗𝗣-𝗦𝗨𝗖𝘀).

This initiative offers a one-time financial assistance of ₱7,500.00 to each qualified student. This strategic financial intervention is designed to alleviate the economic hardships that often hinder students from fully engaging in their academic pursuits. By directly addressing these challenges, the TDP-SUCs program not only eases the financial burdens faced by our students, but also empowers them to pursue their studies with a renewed sense of purpose and determination. Such initiatives are integral to the mission of Basilan State College as they underscore the importance of creating a learning environment that nurtures academic excellence and holistic development.
