As part of the Dengue Prevention Campaign, Goa Community College (GCC) successfully conducted its Search and Destroy Activity on September 25, 2026, bringing together students and school personnel in a collective effort to identify and eliminate possible mosquito breeding sites within the campus.

The activity was conducted in response to the increasing number of dengue cases in the Bicol Region and pursuant to CHED 5-CRM No. 227, s. 2026, “Reminder on the Strengthening of Dengue Prevention and Control Measures in Higher Education Institutions.”

Alongside the clean-up and inspection, Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials on dengue prevention were also posted around the campus to remind everyone of simple but important ways to help prevent the spread of dengue.

DENGUE PREVENTION STARTS WITH US

With the increasing number of dengue cases in the Bicol Region, Goa Community College is taking part in strengthening dengue prevention and control measures through its Dengue Prevention Campaign.

Dengue prevention begins with simple actions we can do every day, eliminate stagnant water, keep our surroundings clean, cover water containers, and protect ourselves from mosquito bites. 🌿🦟

This campaign is conducted pursuant to CHED 5-CRM No. 227, s. 2026, “Reminder on the Strengthening of Dengue Prevention and Control Measures in Higher Education Institutions"

Let’s all do our part in keeping our school, homes, and community safe and healthy. Prevention is everyone’s responsibility.
