Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) is excited to announce an open call for submissions to the Davao Multidisciplinary Research Journal (DMRJ).
DMRJ is a peer-reviewed research journal dedicated to publishing multidisciplinary research across diverse disciplines. The journal accepts original articles, reviews, and theoretical frameworks, including but not limited to the following topics:

โข Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry and Agribusiness
โข Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities

Learn the basics of data analysis, with and without software. We'll show you how to use R, an open-source software used for statistical computing and data visualization, and NVivo, another computer software program used for managing, analyzing, and visualizing qualitative data.

The 23rd IYAS La Salle National Writersโ Workshop is open for applications. It will be held from June 16 โ 22, 2024 at Phase 2 Balay Kalinungan, University of St. La Salle, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
IYAS is organized by the University of St. La Salle (USLS) in partnership with the DLSU Bienvenido N. Santos Creative Writing Center (BNSCWC) and with support from the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities (ICSC). The workshop director is Marjorie M. Evasco. The panel is composed of Grace Monte de Ramos, Susan Lara, Isidoro Cruz, Adrian Ho, Clarissa Militante, and Carlos Piocos III. Elsa Martinez Coscoluella and IYAS Project Director Rayboy Pandan will also serve on the panel.
The workshop fellowship screening committee accepts creative work in Hiligaynon, Cebuano, Kinaray-a, Filipino, and English. Fellowships are awarded by genre and by language. Writing entries that explore human relations with the environment will be given preference for these fellowships. Twelve applicants will be given fellowships, which will include a travel subsidy.
Application requirements
- Original, unpublished work (not previously or concurrently submitted to other workshops) in only one chosen literary genre and language: 6 poems, 2 short stories, 2 one-act plays, or 2 creative nonfiction works, These works must be typewritten in DOCx file, font size 12 pts., double-spaced.
- PDF of a one- to two-page resume containing applicantโs ID photo and complete contact information (residence address, email address, contact number).
- A cover letter explaining the reason/s for applying (PDF), addressed to workshop director Dr. Marjorie M. Evasco.
