πππ π πππ ππππΓ±πππ comes from a Spanish term meaning βaffectionate,β βamiable,β or βlovingβ (referring to a woman). The π²πππΓ±πππ dance originated on Panay Island in the Visayas during the Spanish colonial period. It belongs to the πΌππππ π²ππππ suite, blending Hispanic musical and step influences with traditional Filipino courtship playfulness.
