ed to Compostela National High School. The school started its operation with 275 first year students, equal to 5 classes. The Principal, Ma. Selanoba deployed two nationally paid teachers(Mrs. Lucia Baltinado Abarca and Mrs. Virginia Calo Longakit) with the permission of the SDS, Dr. Carolino B. Mordeno and they served as the pioneer teachers together with the 3 locally- funded teachers of the LGU (Ms. Gertrudes Sahagun Cayamanda, Mrs. Barcelisa Ramirez Pepito and Mr. Evelio Garcia). The students attended classes in a building constructed by the LGU at the Central Elementary School campus with the support of the District Supervisor, Mr. Bonifacio Pumar at that time. Due to its fast growing population and the demands of the school needs, the LGU purchased 8, 199 square meter lot amounting to php2.4M from the Reynes clan to be used as the permanent home/site for the high school students of Compostela. It is at this point that the students transferred to the permanent school grounds and the construction of buildings followed due to the school site purchased by the LGU of Compostela. It is the basic requirement of DepEd to acquire a school site so that they could provide structures for the students educational advancement.
