The Sangguniang Bayan of Compostela acknowledges the issuance of Presidential Proclamation No. 1370, s. 2026, which declares August 1, 2026, a Special (Non-Working) Day in observance of the Municipality's Founding Anniversary and the Buganihan Festival. This action, following our formal request outlined in Municipal Resolution No. 2026-8113, recognizes Compostela's rich cultural heritage and promotes broad community participation.

PCL WEEK ACTIVITY | The Sangguniang Bayan of Compostela, Davao de Oro, celebrated the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Week 2025 with a tree-planting activity aimed at reducing flood risks in vulnerable areas. The initiative, led by Vice Mayor Ricky Hechanova, brought together Sangguniang Bayan members, their staff, and the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) to plant flood control trees in Purok 10, Barangay Poblacion.

PCL Week | The Sangguniang Bayan of Compostela, Davao de Oro, is participating in the 2025 Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Week. This celebration, mandated by Presidential Proclamation No. 212 of 1993, takes place during the first week of September and highlights the role of councilors in local governance.

This year's theme, "PCL: 35 taon na kabalikat sa kaunlaran tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas", underscores the PCL's long-standing commitment to progress and its vision for a better Philippines.

Hon. Juric Blanco emphasized the Sangguniang Bayan's vital role in creating local development programs and policymaking to achieve the municipality's development goals.

The PCL Week celebration in Compostela, Davao de Oro, commenced with a Flag Raising Ceremony at the Municipal Gymnasium, attended by Vice Mayor Ricky Hechanova, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, officers from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and all Compostela LGU employees.

1. Letter of Application (Annex D);
2. Duly accomplished Application Form for Accreditation (Annex C);
3. Duly approved Board Resolution signifying intention for accreditation for the purpose of representation in a local special body (Annex E);
4. Certificate of Registration or existing valid Certificate of Accreditation from any NGA (or in the case of IPOs certification issued by NCIP);
5. List of current Officers (Annex F);
For CSOs that have been in operation for at least one (1) year:
1. Minutes of the Annual Meetings of the immediately preceding year as certified by the organization's board secretary (Annex G) or Certification from the board secretary certifying the annual meeting's conduct, including the date, location, attendees, and agenda;
For CSOs that have been in operation for at least one (1) year:
1. Annual Accomplishment Report for the immediately preceding year (Annex H); and
For CSOs that have been in operation for at least one (1) year:
1. Financial Statement, at the minimum, signed by the executive officers of the organization, also of the immediately preceding year, and indicating therein other information such as revenue, expenses, and the source(s) of funds (Annex 1).
