Representing the pharmacy team with dedication, expertise, and professionalism were:
Rod RJ Cabanes
Margie Roselle G. Opay
Anna Jemina Labin
Their presentation highlighted the crucial role of pharmacists in understanding complex clinical cases, contributing to decision-making, and working alongside other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes. ๐งช๐
A special thank you goes to our pharmacy students and SHIELD members who supported our representatives, actively engaged in the discussion, and made the event even more memorable with their enthusiasm and encouragement. ๐๐
This joint conference is a shining example of what can be achieved when interprofessional teamwork, international collaboration, and passion for learning come together. We are incredibly proud of our team and everyone who contributed to this meaningful experience.

Listerine was originally a surgical antiseptic!๐ฆท๐งผ
Did you know Listerine wasnโt always a mouthwash?
In 1879, Dr. Joseph Lawrence, a chemist, developed Listerine as a surgical antiseptic and named it in honor of Joseph Lister, the pioneer of antiseptic surgery. It was initially used to clean wounds, sterilize surgical instruments, and even as a floor cleaner! It wasnโt until the 1920s that it became popular as the first over-the-counter mouthwash, marketed to fight "chronic halitosis" (bad breath) , and sales skyrocketed!
๐งชFrom surgery to smiles, thatโs pharmacy history at work!

How are you holding up with the workload, Pharmates?
Sometimes you just need a break from the walls of text. So, instead of just staring at your notes until the words stop making sense, come see if any of that pharma info actually stuck. ๐๐ฎ
Weโre turning the grind into a bit of a challenge. Itโs quick, itโs competitive, and itโs definitely a more productive break than another 30-minute scroll. Give it a go whenever you need a breather from the heavy stuff. โโจ
Guess that drug, future RPhs! ๐
