๐‘บ๐’‚๐’ ๐‘ท๐’†๐’…๐’“๐’ ๐‘ช๐’Š๐’•๐’š โ€” In a decisive step toward smarter governance and more responsive public service delivery, the Schools Division Office (SDO) of San Pedro City formally rolled out the SDO Click Ecosystem, a digital innovation initiative designed to streamline office processes and improve client engagement, aligning closely with the Five-Point Agenda of Education Secretary Sonny Angara.
Held under the banner โ€œTowards a Smarter SDO San Pedro City with SDO Click,โ€ the program brought together education leaders, supervisors, school heads, and non-teaching personnel to collectively advance the Department of Educationโ€™s thrust for efficiency, accountability, and digitally enabled governance.
The activity opened with preliminaries and an audio-visual presentation that set the tone for a future-ready schools divisionโ€”one that embraces technology as a tool for reform rather than resistance to change.

Delivering the opening message, Mx. Joe-Bren L. Consuelo, Education Program Supervisor and Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, emphasized that digital transformation is no longer optional in public service.
Consuelo underscored that SDO Click directly supports Secretary Angaraโ€™s agenda on modernizing education governance by simplifying transactions, reducing manual processes, and improving transparency in service delivery. The initiative, Consuelo noted, reflects the divisionโ€™s commitment to making systems work better for both internal clients and stakeholders in schools.

The core of the activity was the presentation of the SDO Click Program by Lyka Jane A. Leosala, Information Technology Officer I, who walked participants through the platformโ€™s purpose and functionality.

SDO Click serves as a centralized digital gateway where teachers, school heads, and personnel can access services, submit requests, and track transactions efficiently. The system responds directly to Secretary Angaraโ€™s push for bureaucratic efficiency and ease of access, ensuring that education workers spend more time focusing on teaching and learning rather than paperwork.
By reducing turnaround time and promoting accountability through digital tracking, SDO Click strengthens institutional processes while reinforcing a culture of innovation within the division.

The keynote speaker, Michael Joseph P. Cabauatan, Director III of the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP), situated the SDO Click initiative within the broader national reform agenda.
Cabauatan highlighted that capacity-building and digital readiness among school leaders and staff are critical pillars of sustainable reform. He emphasized that innovations such as SDO Click complement Secretary Angaraโ€™s agenda of upskilling educators and education leaders, enabling them to operate effectively in an increasingly data-driven and technology-enabled environment.
The keynote address reinforced the idea that digital reforms succeed when leadership, systems, and people move forward together.

Messages of support were delivered by Renante R. Soriano, Principal III and President of PESPA San Pedro City, and Erma S. Valenzuela, Chief Education Supervisor of the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID).

Soriano emphasized that streamlined processes uplift school leaders by easing administrative burdens, while Valenzuela highlighted how efficient systems free up time and energy for instructional leadership and learner-centered programs. Their statements echoed Secretary Angaraโ€™s priority on improving learning outcomes by strengthening the foundations that support teaching and curriculum implementation.

During the Ways Forward segment, Paul Jeremy I. Aguja, Administrative Officer V, outlined the operational direction of the program, stressing the importance of consistent usage, feedback mechanisms, and continuous system enhancement.

A guided SDO Click Walkthrough, facilitated with voice-over support by Christopher John C. Tabrilla and moderated by Mariel Y. Castillo, ensured that participants gained hands-on familiarity with the platformโ€”reinforcing the principle that reform must be both strategic and practical.

Schools Division Superintendent Phillip B. Gallendez, CESO VI in an interview shared that SDO San Pedro City moves forward a future-ready workforce , the SDO Click is a move towards citizen-centered solution that stands as a testament to what can be achieved when national direction meets local innovation. By embracing technology and thoughtful change management, the division positions itself as a model for responsive, agile, and people-centered governance.

He also added that with strong leadership, unified stakeholder support, and alignment with the Departmentโ€™s reform agenda, SDO San Pedro Cityโ€™s journey toward a smarter future is now just one click away.
