On the Arrest of a City Hall Employee

The Quezon City Government strongly condemns any form of corruption, bribery, or extortion, especially if it directly or indirectly involves anyone connected with the city government.

We have received reports that a city hall employee was arrested during an entrapment operation held August 13, 2025, for allegedly demanding and receiving money from a business owner in exchange for processing permits and documents.

Such an action is unacceptable, go against the values of integrity and public service, and will never be tolerated.

We are fully cooperating with the Quezon City Police District and other authorities to ensure that the case is pursued to the fullest extent of the law.

We are also conducting an internal investigation to determine if the suspect is in cahoots with any city hall personnel. We will take the necessary administrative and legal actions without delay.

The Quezon City Government remains committed to providing fast, honest, and transparent service.

There is also no need to engage with fixers or middlemen, as our processes and permit applications are already 100% online.

We encourage residents and business owners to report any suspicious or illegal activities in the processing of permits or documents through Helpline 122 or the People’s Corner on our official website (https://quezoncity.gov.ph).
