Jerusalem had been placed in a unique position, but instead of reflecting God’s ways, the people turned away from Him. Ezekiel 5 shows the seriousness of repeatedly rejecting God and the consequences that follow.

Today, ask yourself: “𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅?” Write one thing down, thank God for it, and ask Him to help you use it faithfully

Ezekiel is given an unusual assignment: he must physically act out the coming siege of Jerusalem. His actions become a visual message to people who have become numb to words.

Sometimes God uses something dramatic because people have stopped paying attention. Ezekiel 4 closes September by reminding us that God's Word isn't meant to remain something we simply read. It calls for a response.

God tells Ezekiel that before he can speak God's message to others, he needs to receive it himself. He isn't called merely to repeat words. God's message has to reach his own heart first.

Write down one sentence or idea that personally challenges you. Don't share it with anyone yet sit with it, pray over it, and ask how it should change you first.

Ezekiel falls before God's presence, but God tells him to stand. He is being called to deliver a message to people who may not want to hear it. The calling begins with something simple: stand up and listen.

Find a quiet place today, put your phone away for 10 minutes, and read Ezekiel 2. Write down one thing that challenges or surprises you, and pray, “𝑮𝒐𝒅, 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑 𝒎𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝑰 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒅.”

Ezekiel is living among the exiles in Babylon when he receives a breathtaking vision of God's glory. His circumstances suggest that God has abandoned His people but this vision reveals something completely different. God's presence is not limited to Jerusalem. Even in exile, God is there.

Think of someone who feels far from God right now. Pray for them by name and send them a message letting them know you're thinking of them.

Jerusalem is still devastated, and there is no easy resolution. Yet the people ask God to turn them back to Him and renew them. Lamentations doesn't end by pretending everything is okay. It ends with a request: “God, bring us back.”

Think of one area of your life that needs a fresh start. Write it down and pray, “God, turn me back to You and renew me.”
