What started as a means to ferry my own stuff on the bicycle, has led me to build different iterations of the cargo bike; trailers included.

Fabricated a rear disc mount too. Used a vacant threaded hole to attach it to the bike.

Installed a flat type disc brake mounting system on an old folding bike.
Welded the bolts to the brackets upside down for ease of brake installation.

Disc tab fab Saturday.
After 3 years, the work done by Electric Bike Conversion is still pulling strong. 3 passengers for 3 years.
I swear by this tire: It may have gouges and cuts all over but it still is in one piece. It has survived for several years as a daily commute tire and has saved me money on tire replacement and maintenance. The only reason it came off is that the rim broke and needs replacing.

While waiting for parts ordered online for the e-trike project, I decided to electrify a 16" folder.
One thing I learned from building cargo bikes is that any weight added to the bike should be as low as possible.

Partially modded trike frame. This is now my starting point.

All in all, metal removed was over 5 kilos.

These past rainy days were eaten up by me removing all extraneous tabs and brackets. By now, I've decided to restomod the trike by just using its bare frame.

Next to go were the plastic body panels, which weighted 9 kilos.
