In celebration of the ๐ญ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐ ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ last August 28, the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) facilitated the ๐ค๐๐-๐ก ๐๐ช๐ถ๐ฒ๐ต๐ ๐๐ช๐โa full day of activities aimed at strengthening bonds as one university family.
The day began with a meaningful Holy Mass at the Oratory of St. Nicholas of Tolentino, followed by a high-energy Zumba session at the gymnasium that got everyone moving, and intense group games that truly tested the employeeโs teamwork. This was also a special time to officially introduce and welcome the newly-hired employees to the whole UNO-R community.
The excitement continued into the afternoon as the event shifted to competitive bowling, billiards, and board games at the Lopueโs East Bowling Centre. More than the games, the true highlight was the opportunity to bond, laugh, and spend quality time with colleagues across all the different departments.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this feast day and family day celebration so memorable. Until the next Family Day!

Department lines disappeared last Saturday, June 27, 2026, as faculty from all colleges of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos mixed, mingled, and collaborated at Kampo Hiyang-Hiyang. The college faculty started the program with creativity during their hilarious, on-the-spot cheers and yells.
Instead of staying in their usual circles, faculty members were grouped together to enjoy the pool games, share challenges, stories, and build new friendships. It was a masterclass in fun collaboration. It was a day of laughter and learning from colleagues across different disciplines. They arrived as separate colleges but left Kampo Hiyang-Hiyang as one tightly knit university family.
