Motivated by the desire to be closer to his family, he ventured into freelancing. He is one of the lucky person to avail the training program collaborated by Filminera and DICT at Filminera Tech4Ed Center. Despite facing challenges in acquiring initial skills and knowledge without immediate financial returns, he persisted. Mark bet on himself, invested time in learning, made sacrifices, and achieved commendable results.

A former worn-out and sleep-deprived call center agent. Having been previously constrained by limited time for family and self-development, Mark has actively reclaimed control over his time, enabling him the freedom to explore various interests and enhance his overall well-being.

Mark continues his journey, citing the ability to earn, manage his time, and continuously learn as compelling reasons to stay in the freelancing realm. His focus now is on building successful digital brands that generate sustainable income with minimal time investment. While Mark envisions helping others in the future, he currently dedicates himself to laying a stable foundation for his ventures.

Beyond the professional realm, Mark emphasizes the importance of personal growth and perseverance. His journey showcases the potential for anyone, even from Aroroy, to thrive in freelancing with the right mindset and dedication.

𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬

In line with President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.'s directive to improve the overall connectivity in the country , the DICT pushed for a more inclusive and digitally connected communities.

The deployment of commercially available satellite technology in the Philippines was the first in the Asian region, with a total 30,000 deployments reported by SpaceX in less than a year. This is a testament to the strong commitment of the Marcos administration to bridge the digital divide, especially in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs). Moreover, the DICT’s Broadband ng Masa and Free Wi-Fi for All Programs continue to provide free broadband Internet nationwide through the activation of 12,418 sites in 81 provinces and 1,346 municipalities and cities.

These initiatives ensure seamless delivery of essential services, education, and emergency communication—reaching even the most remote corners of the country.
The National Fiber Backbone (NFB) Phase 1 was launched, establishing a 100 Gbps link from Los Angeles, USA to San Fernando, La Union and marking a significant stride towards advancing and modernizing the country's digital connectivity.
