🇯🇵Tsukuba Circuit—a legendary proving ground in Japanese motorsports. Another personal favorite track of mine being a bit of a JDM fan and growing up watching the cleanest time attack privateers aim for the sub 1 minute lap time. 🏁

Despite its compact layout, this track packs a punch with its tight corners, rapid straights, and challenging technical sections. Renowned for pushing drivers and machines to their limits, Tsukuba is where raw skill meets innovative engineering and a tight blend of aerodynamics, grip, and power. Reserved for mostly open lapping days and time attack events, Tsukuba represents the privateer time attack race community.

Celebrating the legendary Alberto Ascari, one of the greatest Italian drivers to ever win for Ferrari. A true icon of Formula 1, Ascari’s skill, courage, and passion for racing helped him secure back-to-back World Championships in 1952 and 1953.

Researching Monza, I came across his story and the odd nature of how he passed at the same age as his father, another Formula One driver.

Alberto Ascari tragically passed away at the age of 36—the same age as his father, Antonio Ascari, who was also a legendary racer. Both father and son met their untimely ends behind the wheel, leaving an eerie parallel in motorsport history. Alberto’s death came just minutes after the crash during a test drive at Monza in 1955. His passing marked the end of an era for Ferrari and left a lasting impact on the world of racing.

Alberto was always seen in blue with his attire and helmet. Reports mentioned that he wasn’t wearing his signature outfit while test driving a different car than his own at Monza. I’m sure most of you already know this story about Ascari and thought it was worth sharing.

Ascari wasn’t just a master of Formula 1; his talent extended across various motorsports disciplines. Before his dominance in F1, Ascari made a name for himself in endurance racing. He achieved success at the prestigious Mille Miglia, Italy’s grueling 1,000-mile race, where his consistency and skill shone through. Ascari also excelled in sports car racing, competing in events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Carrera Panamericana, showcasing his versatility as a driver. His ability to adapt to different cars and track conditions solidified his reputation as one of the most talented and fearless drivers of his era.

To honor this year’s Sebring 12 hour race, we had to drop this new print of Sebring Raceway 🏁 This race is actually currently underway as I type this 😅

One leg of the famed “triple crown of endurance racing”, Sebring has a long history of hosting endurance racing events on an area once used as a WW2 training base for the USAF.

Stay tuned this year for more as we celebrate the tracks that are on the IMSA circuit - this series is one of my personal favorites as it combines prototype cars with GT cars running alongside each other.

The best one yet - SLB 2024 🏁

Seeing the energy this weekend made us super grateful to be part of this grass roots event once again designing the SLB poster and first, second, and third place trophies for the six different classes entered.

Hats off to the SLB / GTA crew and all the race teams that travelled domestically and internationally to have fun this weekend.

Among all the things you could have done this weekend, you competed for the fastest lap around a Formula One graded circuit in Austin TX. Props 🏁
