SOLID is a student team from Eindhoven University of Technology, developing iron-based hydrogen storage.
An innovative way of storing hydrogen that is safe, compact, and energy efficient. When metal powders are burned, energy is released and the metals turn into metal oxides, also known as rust. The energy can be used in, for example, big industrial processes or large scale transport. The metal oxides formed during the combustion are captured.
