If you see one thing in Oman, it has to be Wadi Bani Khalid. It's one of the largest swimming wadis in Oman and just beautiful. The best place to cool down after a few days in the desert, we simply didn't want to leave!

A dash of colour. The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is the main attraction in Muscat, and for good reason as its absolutely massive. Able to hold 20,000 worshippers, its also open during the morning to non-muslims.
