At Chapter One, we are proud to work in partnership with Baby College Oman to support children and families in giving our little ones the very best start in life.
Together, we share the same passion for early childhood development, learning through play, and creating nurturing experiences that help children grow in confidence, curiosity, and happiness.
Strong partnerships between families, educators, and early years specialists make such a difference in those important early years — and we are delighted to work together to support our wonderful community. 💛

When adults step in too quickly, we unintentionally interrupt growth.
Children build capability by trying, by struggling a little, and realizing how capable they are. They learn how to seek assistance appropriately, how to persist, and how to support one another. Those lessons don’t happen when we smooth every path and do things for them.
These hands ARE dirty, so we provide a way for them to clean them, without needing to swoop in and do it for them. Our job is to remove obstacles so that they can do things for themselves. We remove obstacles, this isn’t the same as doing it for them.
The balance is subtle. We must stay observant.
And sometimes, choose to step aside so development can take its natural course.

What’s one thing we want every child to experience — and leave Chapter One knowing? Kindness. 💛
The world needs more kindness, and it starts in childhood.
It’s the small moments that matter most — holding a friend’s hand, helping someone balance, including others in play, showing empathy, and learning to care for the people around us.
Through play, friendships, and shared experiences, children learn that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference.
As educators, we know children learn not only through what we teach, but through what we model every day. By being positive role models and creating environments built on respect, care, and connection, we help children understand the value of kindness in everyday life.
Because when children learn kindness early, they carry it with them for life. 🌱✨

Playdough might look simple, but for young children it’s one of the richest learning materials you can offer.
Playdough may look simple, but for young children it’s one of the richest learning materials you can offer.
When children roll, squeeze, flatten, pinch, and build with playdough, they are developing far more than just “fine motor skills.”
Here are some of the key benefits of playdough in early childhood:
1.Strengthens fine motor muscles
All that squishing and shaping builds hand strength needed for writing, cutting, and self-help skills like buttoning and zipping.
2. Supports brain development
As children manipulate dough, they are building neural connections that support problem-solving, planning, and coordination.
3. Encourages creativity and imagination
A ball of dough can become a pizza, a monster, a cupcake, or a whole world of storytelling.
4. Builds early literacy and language skills
Children naturally talk about what they are making, describe actions, and engage in storytelling as they play.
5. Supports emotional regulation
The sensory experience of playdough can be calming, helping children focus and release energy or frustration in a safe way.
6. Promotes early math concepts
Children explore size, shape, quantity, symmetry, and patterns without even realizing they are learning math.
Playdough is not just an activity—it’s a powerful learning experience that supports the whole child through play.
