Fireman Sam gets the boot!
This weekend, we had the privilege of hosting the booting for Sam. We first met Sam just over three years ago, when he made the adventure across the ditch to join us at Ye Oldeβ Moot. He quickly became a close friend of Valley, becoming an honorary member and joining us at any national event. His bright and bubbly personality will be missed at Valley!

On Saturday evening, a small group of Valley members participated in our first stocktake fundraiser. We spent the late hours of Saturday at the Warehouse Upper Hutt scaning and counting stock. It was very exhausting but soo rewarding once it was all done.

Valley celebrates the Life of Eddie!
Tonight Eddie, our recently booted member of Valley, came back and took us though his whole Scouting life. We revisited past stories from the good to the bad. It was overall a good night, as a final good bye from Eddie. We also had members from OO and Regal join us for this celebration.

Valley joins Belmont Vents π¨
Tonight, a small group of us joined in with Belmont Venturers, in their Bob Ross Painting Night. We had a lot of fun, testing our creative skills and ignoring a lot of Bobβs instructions to make our own master pieces. Thank you for having us Belmont!

Over the weekend, we hosted Rovers from across the country as we farewelled Eddie. Due to the unfortunate weather, we had to move the booting to our den, but we still had a blast, sharing many stories about Eddieβs time within Rovers.
Eddie has been a constant member of Valley, always showing up where it mattered and getting stuck into anything and everything. His infectious laugh will be missed! Throughout his time at Rovers, he has held many volunteer positions, including serving on two MOCs, serving in the exec, and being a Scout leader at St James Sea Scouts. Eddie is the prime example of what a Rover is, and he will be deeply missed.
Valley wishes Eddie all the best for whatever the future holds for him! And we want to remind him that this isnβt goodbye, itβs just see you later!

Last night some of Valley were able to attend Leighβs Bronze Tiki Award Presentation
The Bronze Tiki Award is given to someone who has done over and above service to Scouting. Leigh has put in the hours behind the scenes and in person which has been recognised hugely in this award.
She has committed time as a tutor at the National Scout Photography School, service as a Lea Leader at St Augs, was recently on the MOC for Mythology Moot, she is also a key member of the crew and has supported in so many places, and has done so much more. So a massive BRAVO to Leigh for this award
