Hari Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori!

This week, to celebrate Māori Language Week, Elliot took us through some basic Te Reo Māori. We discussed the history of the language and the language week, and we ended the night playing a couple of games. It was a really cool night, with great discussions and learning!

BARNDANCE 🤠

To finish off our day on Saturday, we headed over to Regal for the annual Barndance! We had a great night, filled of line dancing!

VALLEY TOUR OF WELLINGTON

On Saturday, we hosted our national event. We had a very successful day, running around exploring Wellington City. We started the day at Parliament, and our adventures took us towards the waterfront and we ended at JJ Murphy’s for our annual pub quiz. It was a very good day!

OO CASINO NIGHT 💰

Last night we headed over the hill to OO for their casino night. We had a lot of fun putting our rover bucks on the line and getting dressed up all fancy. We ended the night winning #1 Gambling Crew 🎉 It was awesome to see OO’s new national event go so successfully and we are looking forward to it next year!

Valley Escapes 🔓

Tonight Valley did an escape room. 9 of us were challenged to an escape a space ship themed room. We were tested as a team but worked hard together, escaping quicker than we expected. It was a lot of fun!

Day 1 of Deans Matariki Ball!
We spent the day doing service at the infamous Rimu Park. Valley put in the hard mahi doing various services projects such as trimming hedges, moving tyres, shingling the driveway, re-mulching around the lake and planting new trees around the area. Its always satisfying to see all the hard work we completed at the end of the day. 🤣

Valley Learns Videography 🎥

On Monday night Jordan took us through the basics of videography and what cinematography is about. After that we split into teams and made 45 second short films using random prompts, genres and props. Overall it was a creative a fun night making short films.

Tonight Valley helped out at with their Trebuchet night. They built up a trebuchet and launched items from it to knock over a target.
