Dear Valued Members and Community

With all of the new changes being implemented around the country this weekend, we have made the tough decision to keep our doors closed for now until we are at “orange”.
We are a small team who keep things running at the Waitakere RSA and with this in mind it would be very taxing on manpower to keep abreast of all of the new changes and checks that need to be enforced under this new system.
We hope to open in January when we have a full team so that we can all enjoy some socializing in the sun and catching up with all of you.

A very valuable expression here reflecting, past present and a predicted future.. come have a look and let’s see if we can change the future position in our community.. 😊

Today we commemorate Malayan Veterans’ Day.

We remember all of the New Zealand service personnel who served in the Malayan emergency.

From 1949 to 1989 12 were killed in action, operation or exercise, and 55 died, drowned, or were killed in Accidents.

A commemorative service will be held at the Pukeahu National War Memorial Park today at 11am.

We will remember them.

As a sign of respect for a very loved member of our community Sue Kloet, who was unfortunately taken this week. The Waitakere RSA today will only set our flag to half mast.
Our thoughts today are with family and friends.
