"The guys that put it up have done a few sheds and they said this was by far the easiest."

The Alpine rafter system features pre-welded J-cleats, meaning once the rafters are up, the purlins are simply slotted and bolted into place. This makes assembly straightforward and efficient, reducing time on-site and overall construction costs.

Every kitset is triple-checked before it heads out the gate to ensure only the best quality materials are sent, with every component included and clearly labelled and organised. This streamlines the build process, saving multiple trips into town to replace missing items.

Great to see another kitset leaving the yard.

This 12.0m x 18.0m shed is heading south to Alexandra, where another client will soon have their Forever Shed.

Every component is triple-checked and sent in one complete truckload, so nothing is missing and the build runs smoothly from start to finish.

Looking forward to seeing this shed in use.

Are you building in a high wind zone?

In New Zealand, your area's wind zone determines the design load your shed needs. It's worth taking the time to look into the construction methods and materials that go into a shed, to make sure it's built to handle your site's conditions.

Because when you're building your Forever Shed, you want to do it once, and do it right.

Shed of the Week.

Starting up a new orchard in Canterbury meant this client needed durable, purpose-built sheds from day one to keep new tractors, sprayers, and other machinery protected.

These two sheds - a 25.0m x 40.0m storage shed and a 16.0m x 60.0m workshop shed - provide plenty of space to store their equipment, as well as having a dedicated workshop area.

The timber poles and framing make it easy to line the workshop area, creating a quiet, comfortable working environment. The birdproof design of Alpine's structural steel rafters also protects expensive assets from acidic bird droppings.

Shed of the Week.

Having built a number of Alpine sheds, this client knew the quality and the structure, so when it came to building his own shed, he knew exactly what to expect.

Located in the Gisborne region, this 14.0m x 24.0m long storage and workshop shed was built to suit this client's needs.

The clearspan design makes for a practical and functional workshop, making it easy for moving gear in and out. With a versatile layout, this client recently transformed the area into a mancave to host 200 people for their 40th birthday party!

The location of your shed is often the biggest hold up in the consenting process. Councils assess several different factors, and a lack of homework up front can cause costly delays, RFIs, and rework.

Boundary setbacks, height restrictions, flood zones, and more can all affect your shed build. We recommend checking the rules for your site before you order your shed.

Get in touch with our team to find out how these council rules affect your site.

The last 90 days at Alpine have been a huge effort from the whole team - with new staff on board, record dispatch numbers, and a lot of hard work behind the scenes to make it all happen!

To celebrate the big effort, the whole Alpine team went on a scenic flight around Aoraki Mount Cook and the Westland National Parks.

Shed of the Week.

Located in Cromwell, Central Otago, this 10m x 28m storage and workshop shed is designed to endure the harsh environmental conditions and built to last.

The 5mm–10mm thick structural steel rafters provide a clearspan design with no centre poles, maximising usable space and manoeuvrability.

Timber framing makes it easy to add wall linings, workshop benches, electrical wiring and other interior fitouts, while also reducing internal noise from machinery, tools, and weather for a more comfortable working environment.

Kalin Contracting has been operating in South Taranaki for over 65 years and is now led by the third generation, Alastair Kalin.

As the business continues to grow, they needed a place to protect their fleet of machinery from the harsh coastal environment. "This shed's not just for me; it's for the next generation. Gear has become so expensive that leaving it outside in corrosive coastal Taranaki is not an option," says Alastair Kalin.

With timber poles, pre-dried timber framing, and hot-dip galvanised structural steel rafters, the Alpine design offers ultimate long-term durability and rust protection for a shed that's built to last for the generations to come.
