houseoftheyear.co.nz To describe this project as a renovation and extension is understating what has been crafted here. This is an epic transformation both in terms of scale and beauty. The owners wanted their four-bedroom, 290sqm home on a lifestyle block expanded to accommodate family and guests and for entertaining.

Earlier this month the took delivery of three new accommodation cabins. These 25m2 cabins complete with ensuite are perfect for small families or contractors and were built off site by the team at Wheeler Building before being delivered to site and lifted into place by 360 Cranes & Haulage.
Its been great to work with everyone involved with this project.

With the design phase started early last year for this Timaru build, we worked through the design and documentation for this project with our client.

With consent granted work got underway late last year with the Maxslab floor slab by poured just before Christmas. Fast forward to now and the exposed structural steelwork and timber framing are up, the Solar Rib roof cladding from has been install and the building is wrapped ready for the exterior cladding.

We’re looking forward to seeing this one come together once the cladding is installed.
Great work by the team at Johnny Small Building.
