Your ears help coordinate all muscles in your body, including the 50+ muscles in your face and 100+ muscles needed for speech production. This is why auditory processing issues are highly correlated with difficulties with speech formation, speech clarity and facial expression.

❌ If you can’t use your 50+ facial muscles, your face becomes expressionless and without emotion.
❌ Without perfect command of the 100+ muscles involved, speech becomes slurred and unclear.

The entire feedback loop between your ears (what you hear yourself saying) and what comes out of your mouth is compromised.
