Team Rees

It has been a very different season this year, it feels odd not to be competing at the final round of the championship this weekend with everyone!

With the final Supersport 600 race of the season coming up, we look forward to seeing who takes out the memorial race this year. It always brings back memories, mostly about the epic battles him and used to have 🤍

We wish everyone luck, have some fun, enjoy yourself, and let’s remember the legend that is Damo Rees 🫶

2025 Formula 1 Champion 🔥

It was an unusual end to the series without Tony and Vicki at Whanganui but we set out to finish on a high. That we did.

Mitch rounded off his year becoming the only rider to ever win 5 years in a row after winning both points races at the Cemetery Circuit.

He also won the Robert Holden memorial, the only rider to ever win in it 4 years in a row.

The conditions were hectic, and a massive thank you to all the officials, Marshall’s, and competitors who stuck it out to give the crowd the show they came to see

This one was for you Shane 🤍

The season is almost rounded off for us with the Burt Munro in Feb as our next event 👌

Huge thanks to our Team, Mark, Liam, Deanne, Steve & Trina, the fullers (especially Tracey for feeding us) for being there rain or shine 👊

See you all in 6 weeks 🔥🔥

DR92 🤍

Wee bit of an update on Tony Rees

He suffered a broken ankle on his wee excursion at manfeild Raceway and has just had surgery to have two screws put in to fix it

Unfortunately this rules Tony out for the year and the streets of Whanganui

It should be a quick recovery from here on in for Big T👌

Well, you could say we experienced it all over the weekend 😅

The aim of the game is always to better ourselves as a rider, sometimes those risks pay off & sometimes they don’t

In this instance, both Mitch and Tony tucked the front from one extreme to the other Mitch in race 1 at the hairpin, so slow his airbag didn’t even go off, and Tony in the last race in the final turn but both are alright

Mitch came away with two wins, Tony with 1 and the hole shot challange sits at 3 all 🫣

Just because we don’t do things in havles, the team also suffered from gastro with some not being able to make the Sunday 😂

Huge thanks to the team, the family that keeps it going all weekend, Mark, Liam, Levi, Robert from KSS - they work hard to make sure everything is perfect

Time to reset for a week, have some good food with family & see you all at Whanganui on Boxing Day ✌️
