All in all the car and Jordan seem to be going better than last season.
Practice run 1 just running around making sure everything was working.
2. Bit wet Jordan was taking it carefully

Laps don't mean too much but as a guide I feel we are headed in the right direction with all the changes. Its now up to Jordan.

Sooooo where do I start with this 🤔
Made the trip to Blenheim for the 2nd and 3rd practice but unfortunately the weather won so Jordan wasn't able to get any much needed laps so we look forward to opening night and work on what we learned from the practice we got .
Now, the part that annoys us the most .
Last season, we ran the heltech plug and play for the rx8 .
Looking at the rule book and asking many questions of those who know the rules better than us because things weren't clear, we were told you're good to go .
Again, for the start of this season, we asked for clarification, and it in writing got another, and Jordan's car tuned all good 👍... or so we thought.
One week before practice, we are told the rules are changing as of now, and you can't use that it has to be a computer of the approved list 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️.
This left us scratching our heads and scrambling to get the car going on a factory computer, and it was just pure luck we got it gong .
Now im all for rules, but we now have spent 7k to get an approved computer bought and all its wiring and another tune, so it's ready and legal for opening meeting. The car heads to sirfab next week, and we can't thank Simion enough for fitting us into his busy schedule.
Why put the link in I hear u saying well, it's safety more than anything, as it will be set to limit the motor or shut it off if something major happens over blowing up another motor .
I'd rather do it now and properly than risk spending the same again if something were to happen as the factory computers can only do so much .
If im honest, I don't understand how a plug-in replacement computer isn't allowed, but something that's twice the money is ... they all ate capable of the same stuff it makes no sense.
And having a plug-in uses factory wiring so far easier for guys to get .. BUDGET CLASS CARS going 🤷‍♂️
The lesson from this and our mistake is to get everything in writing before you do anything.
I could go on but probably end up getting in trouble as the truth tends to offend, lol .
Pulling apart something you have spent hours and hours on is very disappointing and especially when you do everything to a decent standard and presentation.
I see why some people just walk away and other motorsport organizations have the views they do .
So we drop the car on Wednesday and see where we land, maybe opening night at Woodford Glen or opening night at our home track Eastern States Speedway in Blenheim.
Unfortunately having spent just about all our budget before we even start May limit the traveling we hoped to do this season and for the first few meetings it won't be up to what we expect for ourselves presentation wise but this is the problem with how things are done it affects a racer and team not just now but also down the track . .
On a positive note its good to see so many putting effort into the class with new cars and old cars looking awesome the production grade is on the improve and hopefully the guys and girls put the same into clean fast racing so when its streamed to the world people watch something awesome, not carnage.

Hey all
So, another job ticked off .
Since last season, the proddy has had both front and rear subframes replaced.
The front was bent and seized up with little or no adjustment for camber ect so this season, we have had a good look at everything handling and gearing wise .
Now we have it tuned, and we have an idea on where its power and toque is we can hopefully gear it around what works for the car, but Jordan, more importantly.
Last season it seemed to rev hard but wasn't carrying the speed we thought it should have so a slightly longer gear ratio and hopefully a car that will turn and sit nicer will give Jordan more confidence in keeping the momentum up especially through the turns as those big Falcons will always eat us alive trying to play the drag game but if we can get overall speed higher through gearing and handling through the corner there's no reason Jordan can't hang with them .

Couple more weeks until practice, then we see if all the work and planning works.
Still have some body panels to paint and sticker , up for the practice meetings , the rx8 will look just a little raced , haha 😄
