A NEW ZEALAND FIRST FOR NPD 🚛
Introducing the newest addition to the NPD fleet, a 10-axle B-Train fuel tanker unit. It is the first 10-axle B-Train built for fuel haulage in New Zealand.
It is also the first new Volvo NPD has ever put on the road. The FH16 produces 780hp and a massive 3,800Nm of torque, making it the first FH780 to be put to work on a fuel task anywhere in the country.
Running at 60 tonnes across 10 axles, this innovative combination can carry more fuel while spreading the load more efficiently.
Combined with Volvo's industry-leading safety systems, fuel efficiency and reliability, it's built to keep New Zealand moving safely and productively.
We've also included some footage from the onboard camera system, capturing the picturesque journey over Evans Pass Road to Lyttelton.
A pretty impressive new addition to the NPD fleet.
A special thanks to the teams at Volvo Trucks NZ and Lowes Industries Ltd!
