Bring along your extra homegrown produce, plants, seeds, preserves, or anything you’d like to swap and share with others. It’s a great chance to connect with fellow gardeners, reduce waste, and celebrate the abundance growing in our community.

While you’re here, enjoy browsing the Market Day stalls, supporting local makers, and picking up a bargain or two. 🥕🌻

Support work changed Tim. Once a labourer, his days now consist of workouts, bike rides, and grocery runs with 24-year-old Blake. The two have built a genuine connection, built on shared interests, humour, and mutual respect.

Tim joined CCS Disability Action through a return-to-work programme a few years ago. His sessions are shaped around Blake's energy and mood, so no two days are the same. "It almost feels like not work some days," Tim comments.

Having a trusted person to talk to has made a real difference for Blake. And it's been positive for Tim, too: "I've settled down a bit and been more patient and understanding."

💙 A huge thank you to the Lower North Island Synod for giving the Manaaki Crew their first catering gig - an opportunity to cater your Ministers' Meeting and Regional Synod Conference - Methodist Church of New Zealand Te Hāhi Weteriana o Aotearoa

What an incredible experience for our team of rangatahi, adults living with disabilities, and community volunteers to prepare, cook, serve and host over 60 guests across two events. More than just catering, it was about building confidence, learning new skills, working together, and showing that everyone has strengths to contribute.

We're so proud of what the Manaaki Crew achieved and judging by the wonderful feedback, so were our guests!
