In this video I show you how I progress beginner level to intermediate, the move is the same but how it’s done is harder. One of the ways we can progress is by reducing stability support to challenge your balance more.

Gym or Pilates? You don’t have to choose in fact, you should do both! Comment below if you are one or the other or both?!

If you’re unsure about joining a gym and want to get the strength side then come to Reformer Works and I’ll coach you on and off the Reformer so you can get core strength, leg strength and arm strength without the commitment of a gym membership 🙀

I will teach you the Fundamental movement patterns which will help you get stronger in everyday life.

If you do want to do Gym and Reformer but are unsure how to split your time between the two. You have to know your ‘WHY’ or your goal which will then help you choose how many you do of each in a week.

An example could be a Push, Pull, Legs split at the gym and Reformer is used for your core strength and stability to help improve strength and control at the gym therefore 1-3 Pilates a week.

If you’d prefer not to go to the gym and still get strength at Pilates then you want to be working your way up 3-5 classes a week and working your way up to our Intermediate classes or our Sculpt classes which are a strength focused class using progressive overload and multiple sets instead of layer upon layer like usual Pilates classes.
