Hawera RDA

🐴 A fun outing for Lizzy & Ace! 🐴
Our RDA horses Lizzy and Ace enjoyed a little adventure out to the Egmont Showgrounds for some fun riding over poles. It was a great opportunity to do something a little different from their usual RDA sessions.
Our awesome volunteer Kath rode Ace, while Zoe rode Lizzy, and they had some great company with Lisa riding Keg and Madi riding Bingo. 🐴❤️
Lizzy even had a go at a little jump! She was such a good girl, and both Lizzy and Ace were so well behaved and took everything in their stride.
It’s so lovely being able to give our RDA horses experiences like this and keep their work interesting and varied. 🌟
A big thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a fun outing! ❤️🐴

Lizzy’s Beach Adventure
🌊🐴 Lizzy’s Beach Adventure! 🐴🌊
One of the lovely things about our RDA horses is that they get to have a life outside of their RDA work too. They aren’t just RDA horses — they get to enjoy new experiences, adventures and plenty of variety! ❤️
Lizzy has been having some riding time with Zoe, and today they headed off for a little beach adventure. 🥰
We think it may have been Lizzy’s first ever trip to the beach, and she was such a good girl! She took everything in her stride, although she definitely wasn’t a fan of those big, scary waves! 🌊😂
She did, however, work up the courage to get her hooves wet, so we’ll call that a win! 👏 The waves will definitely be a work in progress, but she was very well behaved and we’re so proud of her.
It’s so special seeing our RDA horses enjoying different experiences and building their confidence in all sorts of environments. 💕🐎
Well done Lizzy and Zoe! 🌊❤️

🐴✨ Cefiro’s Last Day at RDA! ✨🐴
Today we said a very special goodbye to our cheeky character Cefiro, who has officially graduated from RDA! 🎓🐴
Cefiro has certainly kept his volunteers on their toes over the years. He's a character who giggles when his horse goes to the toilet, and has a good shake 😂, and is also VERY good at dismounting himself! He has brought plenty of laughs and memories to RDA and will definitely be missed. ❤️
Pictured is Cefiro with our coach Lisa, proudly receiving his certificate and horseshoe. 🏅🐴

As it was also our last day of term, we awarded our Achiever of the Term — Holly! 🌟 Holly’s confidence has grown so much over the past year, and it has been wonderful to watch her progress. She especially loves having a little trot on our handsome man Ace, and comes back from her rides with the biggest giggles and smiles. 🥰🐎

Well done Holly — you should be so proud of yourself! 🌟

And that’s a wrap for another term at RDA. Thank you to all our riders, volunteers, coaches and supporters for another great term.
See you all next term! ❤️🐴
