Sculpture factory in Bao Ding Shi, China. Where pretty much the whole town manufactures statutes and sculptures.They treated us very well, got picked up in a very luxurious van, that took us by surprise to learn it was the new GWM, not available in NZ yet. We where very impressed to see their attention to detail, high level of finish and beautiful art work.

Chinese hospitality is next level. Today we met up with our brick supplier and were very impressed with their ability to meet our requests and NZ requirements. We were invited to lunch where .photographer ate crickets 🤢... And thats not where their generosity stopped. Not only did they pick us up and drop us back to the train station, but they took us through the Confucius museum at their expense. Feeling very blessed for today's hospitality and unique experiences.

Next stop was a company in the Laiwu District, toured through their factories that manufacture Geo-textiles and Geo-membranes.
Very interesting to see the process go from raw materials to final product, ready to ship.

Very successful first day in China, meet up with suppliers 2hrs south of Shanghai, in the steel manufacturing sector, got the royal welcome. Then we where toured the factory, followed by lunch, then back to Shanghai to check out some of the local scenery the city has to offer.
