R7 - 2.40 at TE RAPA today

FREEBIRD - On the quick back up after a gusty win at Ellerslie last time out over 2100m. Moves up distance and rating again but has pulled up well and we know she has the ability. At home and with the services of W Pinn we are looking forward to seeing her run today. Win, lose or draw, she’s been enormous this prep and is an exciting prospect next season in some of the bigger races.

R8 - 4.01 at MATAMATA tomorrow

ELLE MCFAB - Led up strong on good ground at Ellerslie first run back before fading. Will be better for the run and will get footing conditions more suited tomorrow (the wetter the better).
Warren Kennedy aboard and looks a nice each way chance.

A couple of close finishes for our 2 racing last week, but FREE BIRD fought hard and brought us up to win number 🔟 for the season 🙌🏻.

TIMETOPLAYTHEGAME was brave in defeat, going down a half head to Jelly Roll at Te Aroha. A very wet track brought him right into play and he looks a great one to follow through the wetter, winter months.

FREE BIRD 🦅 has been super at Ellerslie her last 3 runs with 2 wins and a close second. Her first time over the 2100m on Saturday was great and stands her in great stead for bigger targets next season.

Forget the last run - it’s like he never went round. Hence the back up when the Te Aroha noms reopened. More his kind of footing today and hopefully he can spring the gates better and put himself in the race. Warren Kennedy aboard.

R6 - 3.08 TIMETOPLAYTHEGAME

Well didn’t think we’d be racing on a Good 4 this close to the start of winter ❄️. While this boy has shown good form on Heavy tracks, he should be ok on top of the ground too. Down to rating 60 and his run had merit last time out. Micheal McNab aboard.

R7 - 3.42 Elle McFab (R Goyaram)
Elle resumes today after a successful campaign last season, winning 2 from 5. She is looking for more moisture in the tracks than the soft 5 today but a nice race to kick off from.

R8 - 4.17 Free Bird (M McNab)
Up in rating but other than that meets all the same conditions as last time out when scoring comfortably. Mile at Ellerslie, Soft 5, Drawn wide and Micheal McNab aboard. Just looking to replicate the run now. She’s done very well since.

👀 SEEKING 👀

On the lookout for an experienced track rider to lend a hand while our number 1 goes off to warmer climates for bouts of time through June to Nov (doing fun stuff while we freeze 😏😂). Welcome to stay on if wanted.

Pretty flexible with number of days a week and/or hours but has to be before 9am when the track shuts. Might suit someone studying or a free lancer looking for a different environment.

“Tango” was good in all 3 starts with a win, a close second and a fourth. Lots of form emerging from those races too.

A nice filly who’s shown plenty of ability. Broke maidens here last start in good fashion and no reason she can’t be competitive here again today.
