‼️👀 ONE TO WATCH 👀‼️

A impressive victory at the competitive Matamata trials yesterday was a new member of our team in DEE MACK.

The 3yr old son of Vadamos is a big boy and was given time to settle at the back of the pack before threading a path through them and grabbing the win on the line.

He looks a lovely staying type in the making ⬇️

😌🦅 MATAMATA RACES TODAY 🦅😌

R7 - FREE BIRD (5) M Cartwright

Nice trial at home a few weeks back and starts her new race campaign straight up over the mile. Was brilliant last prep and looking forward to some lofty goals with this girl in the months to come. Should be hitting the line hard here today.

R9 - VICTOR TANGO (13) W Kennedy

Sounding like a broken record here with this guy. Talented but lots to learn. If he can get it right early in the race, then he’s going to be right in the mix.

☀️🦄 HAWKES BAY RACING TODAY 🦄☀️

R8 @ 4.40 Group 1 Howden Insurance Mile

#2 FIRST FIVE (6) M McNab

The big boy has travelled down great and we looking forward seeing him run today.
He’s done exceptionally well since his last race, drawn a good gate and maps to get a nice run in transit.
Another quality field to compete against as you’d expect in a Group 1 but we are wrapped with our charge.

Best of luck 🤞🏻 to connections 🙌🏻

🍬 🧊 TE RAPA RACES TODAY 🧊🍬

Race 4 @ 1.44pm SWEET ICE (W Kennedy)

Better run over the 1600m last time at Ellerslie. Has taken improvement from that and should go close today in another mile. Needs to be handy in the running to show his best.

Best of luck to connections 🤞🏻

Trial #2 - FREEBIRD (C Barnes)

Good opportunity to get a trial under ‘Tui’s’ belt at home. She was brilliant at end of her last campaign, having 2 wins and 2 seconds in her last 4 starts, stamping herself as a stayer to look out for this season. Excited to get her underway.

Race 4 - VICTOR TANGO (W Kennedy)

Races in the First Five 2026 Champion sprinter-miler 1300m. Ran some impressive sectionals at Ruakaka last time out over 1100m (fastest of the day). Very talented but still lacks ring craft. Always dangerous when he gets it right.

Race 6 - ELLE MCFAB (W Kennedy)

Up to the mile and racing at left handed at home should suit Elle. The wetter the better for her. Has mixed her form this campaign but is capable on her day.

☀️💥 GROUP 1 PROISIR PLATE DAY 💥☀️

Big day of racing for the team today at Ellerslie.

R6 - SWEET ICE (9) - Eagle Technology 1600

Got too far back last start to do any damage but from the mile with long run in to the corner he’ll hopefully be close to the speed in the running. He has plenty of stamina to keep grinding to the line from there. A couple of kgs off with the aid of Sam McNab aboard today.

R8 - BETHANY DEE (10) Myracehorse 1300m

Smart mare who went close at Ruakaka last time. She always shows up and is the ultimate professional. May have to go back from the draw but should be finishing strong on the line.

R9 - FIRST FIVE (14) Proisir Plate 1400m

Was running home great in the Foxbridge after getting held up at the 300m. Strips better for the run today and over his pet distance. Slight ‘fly in the ointment’ with the sticky draw of 14 and will dictate us to go back, but we all know he’s good enough 💪🏻.

Best of luck 🤞🏻 to all connections today.
Be a tough day but we are happy with our 3️⃣

⛰️🏇🏻AROHA RACES TODAY 🏇🏻⛰️

Race 10 at 5.04pm - ELLE MCFAB

A mare that produces her best on very wet ground, so hopefully it’s genuinely Heavy out there today. Drawn 5 with Warren Kennedy aboard.
