Summer Research Scholarships â project submissions
The Research Committee is now calling for online project submissions from academic staff for the University of Waikato Summer Research Scholarships for 2014/2015.
The scholarships provide promising undergraduate, final-year honours and first-year masters degree students, and particularly those considering further study at the University of Waikato, with the opportunity to experience the challenges and rewards of research. The $5,000 scholarships are offered for a 10-week period over the summer study break and will be paid in four instalments directly to the student.
To submit a project, please complete an online academic submission form and submit it to the Scholarships Office by Wednesday 11 June 2014. Further information and the online application form is available here.
Project submissions will be put before a selection panel. In considering specific projects the selection panel will take into consideration the subject area and will be influenced by the Universityâs research strategy. Each project submission application is to support one student for a period of 10 weeksâ full-time research. Approved projects will be open to application from students from mid-July.
If you would like further information please contact Hannah Henderson in the Scholarships Office at [email protected] or on extn 5136.
