BUSIT is a public transport bus service, operated in partnership by Waikato Regional Council and local district councils. Connecting passengers to Hamilton from as far as Pukekohe, Raglan, Taumarunui, Taupō and Te Aroha - Waikato operates around 20 regional services and 22 Urban services across Hamilton city. 🚌🚨 New Road Rule Now in Effect!
From October 1st 2026, If you're driving on a road with a speed limit of 60km/h or less, you must give way to buses indicating to enter your lane.
This change helps buses re-enter traffic safely, improves journey reliability, and supports a more efficient public transport network.
Look out for indicating buses and give them space to merge safely.
Because every minute saved helps keep our buses moving⏱️💙

✨ Out & About with BUSIT is back in Tokoroa next week! ✨
Join us as we do our bit to help celebrate the official reopening of the Tokoroa Community Hub and Library, with activities and events happening throughout the week.
