You're allowed to take up space. You're allowed to have needs. You're allowed to actually ask for what you need. None of that has to be earned first. š¼
Somewhere along the way, a lot of us picked up the opposite rule. Be smaller. Need less. Prove you deserve attention before you ask for any. Your mind learned to treat basic needs like requests that had to be justified, when they were never supposed to require an application in the first place.
Needing things is just part of being a person. Asking for what you need is simply communicating clearly instead of hoping someone eventually notices.
You don't have to shrink to be easier to love. You don't have to prove your worth before you're allowed to exist comfortably in a room.
Take up the space. You were always allowed to. š«¶ (Dr Caroline Leaf)

There is something powerful about finding joy in the ordinary.
Not because life is perfect but because you've stopped waiting for happiness to arrive "one day".
The little things aren't little when they become the life you get to live š¤

This is one of the most common dynamics seen in relationships...
One person is trying to change the relationship forward by being the one who always brings up the hard conversations and the things that need to change. The other is trying to keep things calm. Both make sense. Both are usually coming from love.
The problem is the loop it creates. One partner starts pushing harder because they feel alone in the effort. The other starts shutting down because they feel like they canāt win. Then both people start reacting from stress instead of actually hearing each other.
When you understand it as two nervous systems trying to feel safe, it gets easier to stop making each other the enemy. And it becomes easier to build a middle that works for both of you.

Shout out to Avisha Therapeutic Massage And Skin and her small business!! Part of self care is finding what works for you and your wellness. How about trying targeted therapeutic massage... Targeted massage can support wellness by addressing specific areas of tension, pain, stress, or dysfunction rather than giving only a general relaxation massage. Different techniques affect the body and nervous system in different ways :)
It can be most effective when combined with broader wellness strategies such as movement, sleep, pacing, hydration, mental health support, and medical care where needed.

Consistently giving yourself the time and space you need to truly rechargeā¦not just crashing when youāve reached the point of exhaustion.ā
ā
Hereās the thing ā we donāt prioritize our own self-care & happiness, because weāre ātoo busy.āā
ā
But the irony, of course, is that once you make time for yourself, you actually feel like you have more time.ā
ā
Your mind & body just feel betterā¦lighter.ā
ā
You feel more energized.ā
You have more space. ā
You can take on more. ā
Life gets easier. ā
Things flow.ā
ā
And then you realize you have more control over your own happiness & health than you ever thought possible.ā
ā
And you deserve to feel this. š„°
