Hamilton RSA

Vietnam Veterans day,18 August, commemorates the anniversary of the 1966 battle of Long Tan, where New Zealand and Australians fought together. Today the Hamilton RSA hosted a commemorative ceremony at the cenotaph with Vietnam Veterans their partners and our guest speaker The Mayor of Hamilton the honorable Tim McIndoe.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our past member Terry Caughley. Terry passed suddenly but peacefully in his sleep.

Terry served with the Putaruru Volunteer Fire Brigade between 1975 and 1987. He was also in the St John's ambulance during this time as well.

A rememberance ceremony will be held at a later date.
