Hi everyone

A busy time in the Club with catering for a number of large functions, including Vintage Car Club members (100+) and Fonterra.

Remember – if you have a function coming up this year, don’t hesitate to get in touch and secure your date as we are filling up fast with a number of private functions.

This week’s update:

AGM:
Final nominations for all Committee positions are being accepted this week, closing at 7pm this Friday 12th June 2026.
Nomination forms are on the board in the clubrooms.
All nominees, proposers and seconders must be financial members of this Club.
If a vote is required, this will be held from Wednesday 17th June until Saturday 4th July at 6pm. More details to follow if this is required.
AGM is scheduled for Sunday 12th July at 1.30pm.

CLUB CLOSURES:
We have a number of private functions coming up which require the closure of the Club to members, plus one Statutory holiday.
As the private functions are very financial for us and help keep our doors open, we thank members for their understanding when this happens.

MEMBERSHIP DRAW:

HARDLUCK DRAW:
Congratulations to L. Morgan who took home the Hardluck draw last Thursday night, just over $250.
Thursday nights, $1 a ticket at the bar. Winner takes the whole pool!

JOKER:
No luck last Saturday night with the Joker still hiding.

Our Kitchen staff have been busy today preparing over a hundred packed lunches for car rally participants!

Apologies for no newsletter earlier this week. We have had major internet issues which unfortunately impacted all admin.

Here’s a couple of reminders:

- AGM nominations. These close on Friday 12th June at 7pm. Nomination forms are on the board. Nominees, Proposers and Seconders must be financial members of the Club. Please think about coming on board and contributing to the running of the Club. If you have any questions, just get in touch with the office or a current committee member. AGM is on Sunday 12th July at 1.30pm
- Quiz night tonight from 7.30pm. All welcome to come along and join in.

- Cliff Richard Tribute Show is scheduled for Friday 21st August. Tickets on sale now, just $25 p/p

WELFARE TRIPS:
This RSA provides assistance to Veterans who require transport to specialist appointments. Unfortunately we only have a very small number of drivers so this service is not always available to other members, such as Associates.
When we can take an Associate member there is a fee to be paid.
This is notice that, effective immediately, the fee for transport for any member who is not a Veteran, will increase to $40 per trip. The current fee has been in place for well over 15 years so this increase is to cover rises throughout that time and of course the rise in fuel costs that everyone is currently experiencing.
