: Recognising National Occupation List (NOL) occupations in the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Starting today, 3 November, Immigration New Zealand begins recognising 87 new occupations at skill levels 1 to 3 under the National Occupation List (NOL) for AEWV applications. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The NOL replaces the old ANZSCO system and reflects New Zealand’s current labour market. This change ensures that higher-skilled roles are accurately recognised and that employers can continue to fill genuine skill gaps. ⁣⁣

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲: ⁣⁣

→ Employers can submit job checks for newly recognised roles ⁣⁣
→ AEWV holders in eligible skill level 1–3 roles may stay longer or bring family ⁣⁣
→ Skilled workers in level 4–5 roles may qualify for these new positions if they meet work experience ⁣⁣

→ Clarify that if you change your education provider or lower your level of study, in most cases you will need to apply for a new student visa, not just a variation of conditions ⁣
→ Increased work hours from 20 to 25 hours a week for eligible dependent child visitor visas and Skilled Migrant Category Interim visa holders ⁣
