‼️Yeah I get it…change is hard. We get comfortable, stuck in our ways and it can all seem a little overwhelming.🫠
You want that thing, you know…that big thing, those goals, those dreams but how do you get from here to there??
Build the bridge.🌁
Take that big goal, that dream that thing write it down and then fill in the steps from where you are to where you need to be, build the bridge.
And go small I mean really small and then start.
Start with that small thing. Walk your bridge.
Then keep going, and going and going!

🚫Bad habits be gone!!🚫
Did you used to smoke? I used to smoke! People used to light up everywhere!
But smoking has seen a huge statistical decrease over the years and research suggests this has happened not so much through education nor by shaming people into quitting like you may think.
But actually through friction!
Yes, that’s right! By adding friction!
Lighting up a fag has actually become harder to do! When out socialising or at work for example you now have to stop what you’re doing, get up and go outside, rain, hail or snow, probably to a designated spot to have a cigarette and quite possibly on your own. When purchasing ci******es you have to ask for them specifically as they are no longer on display and do we even need to mention THE COST!!!🤑
These are all frictions in the way that have made smoking so much harder to continue doing. This has helped enable many to break the smoking habit.
So…if friction helps to break bad habits that means in order to instil good habits we need to make the process??? You guessed it! FrictionLESS!
For example, perhaps you wish to make going to the gym before work a habit. To make this as frictionless as possible you can a)set your alarm, b) pack your gym bag and set out your clothes the night before c) have your snack and coffee/preworkout organised so you can grab and go without having to think nor have time to talk yourself out of it.
Repeat, habit forms, repeat, repeat, repeat. Habit formed!
This also then moves from our conscious thinking brain to our subconscious. You no longer have to make the decision about getting up, getting ready, getting your gear together, this becomes less stressful for our conscious brain, the act or process becomes habitual.
☺️Ahhh you are now a product of your new habit, we become what we repeatedly do.🙌
