Lastly, our Team Ken & Whetu Feilding A2 team are gearing up for the Premier 2 final against Aranui Black!

These two teams have gone neck and neck all season and have been the benchmark of the competition, so there’s no doubt this one will be another huge battle. Their one previous meeting ended in a two-goal win to Aranui, with their composure and experience proving crucial when it mattered most.

But our A2 girls are fast learners, and they’ll have taken plenty from that loss. They’ll know what worked, what didn’t, and what they need to do differently this time around.

Big games provide big opportunities, and it’ll be the team that takes those opportunities when they come who will lift the trophy.

Good luck girls! Go out there, trust the work you’ve put in all season and leave it all on the court.

Premier finals night is here! And just like we have all season, three teams are ready to finish the season on a high.

At 6:00pm our Snap Fitness Feilding A3 girls will be ready to fight for 3rd place and continue the form they showed in their best-ever result against Aranui last week. It’s been a season of growth for this group, with plenty of challenges along the way, but they’ve continued to improve, learn and build as a team. Standing in their way is a PNGHS A1 side fresh off their Collegiate 1 win and building nicely for their schools campaign. There was just two goals in it the last time these two sides met, so Feilding will be looking to flip the result this time around and cap off a huge season of progress with a win.

Then at 7:30pm our Dawson & Gerrard Feilding A1 team will be looking to finish their season on a high after last week’s close loss in the Plate semi final. It’s been a season that has thrown plenty at this group, with injuries, changes, tough results and moments where things haven’t quite gone their way. But through all of that, they’ve continued to turn up, work hard and fight for each other. There have been plenty of ups and downs, but the character of this team has never been in question. Now they get one final opportunity to put it all out there, finish the season the way they want to and walk away knowing they left nothing on the court.

Our Feilding A4 girls have just gone and achieved what was a mountain of a task at the start of the year, winning a grade! And that grade is Championship 3!

The final against Kia Toa Royals was always going to be a close one, and that’s exactly how it played out. Small breaks here and there proved to be the difference, with our girls taking a crucial two-goal lead into the first quarter break.

The margin never got much bigger than that for long, with Kia Toa continually reeling the leaders back in. As the clock ticked closer to full time, the message from the sideline was simple: possession.

And they delivered.

That two-goal advantage remained intact right through to the final whistle, sending the girls into celebrations. You know it’s been a tight battle when the players aren’t even sure who has won when the final whistle goes!

A hugely deserved win and an awesome team effort from the entire team. Massive credit to the captains for leading the way and keeping the group composed when it mattered most.

Championship 3 winners. What an achievement. What a team!

Our Lily Beck Real Estate Feilding Firebirds season has unfortunately come to an end a week earlier than we would have liked, with illness running through the team meaning we weren’t able to field a lineup for the final match of the season.

It’s definitely not how the ladies wanted to finish the season, especially after an incredible year that saw them earn their spot in the Championship 4 and perform well throughout.

There’s still so much to be proud of. They’ve battled hard, backed each other and shown plenty of fight throughout the season.

Rest up, recover and come back firing next year, ladies. We know you will!

A full season write-up will be coming in the next few weeks, so stay tuned as we look back on what has been a fantastic season for our Firebirds.

Lastly, while our teams are battling it out on court, so many others are fighting their own battle against cancer.

When we were asked to help support the annual Daffodil Day fundraiser, we answered the call.

You’ll see our members around the courts tomorrow and Tuesday evening collecting for the Cancer Society. If you can, please spare some money or grab something from the stand, with merchandise including teddy bears and daffodils.

Every little bit helps, and together we can make a difference.

FINAL DAY FOR OUR A4 GIRLS!

Our Feilding A4 girls are into the Cup Final and they need you there with them!

Two meetings this season. One win apiece. And the games have been decided by the finest of margins. There has been absolutely nothing between these two teams, which makes tomorrow’s final against Kia Toa Royals exactly the kind of match-up you want to see on the big stage.

Two weeks ago, it was our girls who got the job done, but tomorrow is a completely different game. Kia Toa Royals bring plenty of experience and they’ll be determined to turn the result around. Our girls know what’s coming, and they’ll need to be ready from the first whistle.

This is where the 8th player comes in.

Our supporters have been incredible all season, and tomorrow we need you again. Get to the courts, get loud, wear the red, be positive and make sure the girls know they aren’t doing this alone. Every cheer, every bit of encouragement and every bit of noise from the sideline matters.

And whatever happens when that final whistle blows, this team has already achieved something pretty special.

This was a brand-new team at the start of the season. All but two players were new to Feilding Netball Club. Our coaches were taking charge for the first time. There was plenty to learn, plenty to figure out and plenty of moments where this group had to work things out together.

And look at them now.

They’ve grown into a strong, competitive unit that has earned their place in the Cup Final. They’ve backed each other, challenged each other and continued to build throughout the season. That growth is something every player and coach involved should be incredibly proud of.

But they’re not done yet.

Tomorrow is their opportunity to put everything they’ve built into one final performance and see just how far this group can go.

Let’s get behind our A4 girls and give them the support they deserve!

One last hit-out for our Lily Beck Real Estate Feilding Firebirds!

After falling short in their semi-final last week, the Birds will be looking to bounce back and finish the season on a high. Standing in their way is Redsox Rivals, who will be chasing a win of their own to finish out their season.

A Championship 4 top-four finish is an amazing achievement for this experienced squad, although they do use the term “social” team a little loosely! Still sitting high amongst Championship netball, these women have shown they can certainly hold their own.

12:30pm tomorrow is the final whistle for 2026. Get behind the team, bring the support and cheer them home for one last hit-out in the red!

Semi finals part two, Premier Competition!

Three teams aiming to make finals, and three match ups with plenty of history behind them.

At 6pm, our Team Ken & Whetu Feilding A2 girls took on PNGHS A1. Leads changed hands throughout the match, with the feeling that whichever team could reduce their errors would be the one to open up a gap. It took until the final spell for a team to finally pull away, and thankfully it was the team in red! As the final whistle went, there was a huge sigh of relief from the bench as the A2 girls secured their place in a third straight final!

The later round had our Dawson & Gerrard Feilding A1 girls taking on Kia Toa Reunited. Every match between these two has been an exciting watch this season, and this one started exactly the same. Much like the A2 game, the momentum swung back and forth, with both teams right in it until the final five minutes. Two crucial turnovers gave Kia Toa the lead, and they kept their cool to secure the win and book their place in the Plate final.

On the other court, our Snap Fitness Feilding A3 team faced their most familiar opponent of the season, Aranui Black, for the fourth meeting between the two sides. A tight opening 15 saw the scores level at quarter time, with the tough battle continuing through the second quarter and our A3 girls within striking distance at the main break. It wasn’t until the final 15 that Aranui managed to pull away and secure the win, joining our A2 girls in the Cup final.

Despite the result, the growth from our A3 team was clearly visible. Their best performance against the grade leaders this season and a huge step forward from their previous meetings.

One team into the final, two heading into playoff matches. The Premier netball season isn’t done yet!

Semi finals results part one, club competition!

Saturday saw our two club teams hoping to book their place in the finals, but standing in their way were two tough opponents.

First up were our Feilding Firebirds, facing the in-form Feilding Yellows Firebombs. Even at half time the game could have gone either way, with both teams trading blows in a tight contest. The back and forth continued through the third, with the game still well within reach heading into the final quarter. A strong final quarter from the Firebombs secured the win and sent our Firebirds into the 3rd place playoff.

Next up were our Feilding A4 girls against Marist Ballbusters. Just like in recent weeks, the girls came out firing, racing to a 6-0 lead to start the game. Relentless pressure on defence combined with clinical attack saw the girls pull away to a commanding lead at half time. That momentum continued through the second half, with the final whistle seeing the girls come away with a 20-goal win and a place in the final!

While it was a fantastic result for our A4 girls, we’d also like to send our best wishes to the two Marist players who went off injured during the match. It’s never nice to see injuries on court, and we wish them both a speedy recovery.

One team heading to a 3rd place playoff, one heading to the final. More results from our Premier competition semi finals coming up.
