AFA Fencing

AFA Fencing stands for All Farm Agwork, and while fencing is our bread and butter, we can offer a whole lot more for lifestyle blocks and smaller farms.

Keep on top of your pastures, whether it’s mowing, oversowing, cultivation, mulching or putting a crop in.

We run smaller, versatile gear that can get into places the bigger contractors often can’t, making us a great option for lifestyle blocks, smaller paddocks and tighter areas.

Maybe the back paddock just needs a good tidy-up? We have both tractor and skid steer mowers, along with equipment for cultivation, oversowing and mulching.

Based in Bunnythorpe, servicing the Palmerston North, Feilding and surrounding areas.

A few jobs we’ve been up to over the last couple of weeks 👌

From cattle yard improvements and custom cattle yard gates, through to a fair bit of 8-wire fencing going in at the moment.

It’s been a great start to spring, and it’s good to see the work rolling in! 🌱

If you’re looking at getting some fencing done, get in touch and we can have a chat about your job.

Our business is built around skid steers. Why? Because they’re compact, powerful, versatile and seriously efficient.

They create less ground compaction, make less mess and allow us to get into tight areas where bigger machinery simply can’t.

And we don’t just ram posts 👊

Have a look at just some of the attachments we can run. From clearing fence lines and mulching, through to mowing and tidying lifestyle blocks, we’ve got the gear to tackle a wide range of jobs.

Our transport truck is also a tipper, meaning we can cart loads of up to 7 tonnes in or out of the job when needed.

Over the last few months we’ve been chipping away at this awesome equine property, and it’s been a pretty special project to be part of.

We built a 3-bay horse shelter for the horses to get out of the weather during the day, along with a 4-bay stable complex with a tack room and wash down pad.

A large part of the property was fenced using equine electric rope fencing, with the remaining areas finished in 4-rail post and rail fencing. The arena was also completed using Duncan stallion rail.

It’s been awesome watching the whole property come together and turning the client’s ideas into the finished setup you see today.

A great result and one we’re bloody proud to have been involved with. 🐎🔨

Few weeks back we took delivery of our new beast of a machine! 💪

Upgrading to a higher horsepower, fully tracked machine has made a huge difference to our efficiency, especially in wet conditions where we can get around with a lot less mess.

Efficiency is a big focus for us, so in September we’re taking it another step further and having the machine set up with remote control. This means no more hopping in and out for every post, making our fencing operation faster and more efficient. Keep an eye out for updates once it’s installed!

Our older machine isn’t going anywhere either. We’re keeping it as a backup and second machine, giving us plenty of options when things get busy.

Between the two machines we have a wide range of attachments including:
• Mower
• 6-way blades
• Buckets
• Trencher
• Grabs
• And more

So whether you need fencing, farm work, or lifestyle block tidy-ups, AFA Fencing is happy to help.

Here’s a little job we smashed out last week for a new client who’s recently taken over a local dairy farm.

The cattle yards were looking a bit tired and in need of some attention, so we got in quickly before they needed them back in action. We replaced broken posts, installed new rails, hung new gates, and made sure everything was swinging freely and ready for work on Monday morning.

These are the sort of jobs we really enjoy. There’s something satisfying about seeing the transformation from start to finish and knowing the client can get straight back to work with safe, functional yards.

A huge improvement from where it started, and another happy client.
